Here’s a sample of lender rates…

by

In light of the big rate drop we saw just today, we thought we’d direct your attention to this sample of current mortgage rate quotes from our editorial survey.

This isn’t advertising; they’re rate quotes from real, live loan officers.

If you’re shopping for a mortgage and have been on the fence waiting for rates to fall, we suggest that this is the time.  Today saw conforming rates drop to just over 6%; that may stick around, or it may not. This market is all about volatility, and no one can predict where rates will go over the next week, or ten.

So if you’re in a mortgage-shopping mode,  we would advise you to pull the trigger fairly soon. Sure, you might miss out on a further drop…
or you might miss out altogether.
