Organize Your Finances With Free Online Services

by

There’s no more important time to organize your finances than when times are tight. On his Monday show, finance expert Clark Howard discussed three free online services designed to help you organize your finances — no matter which type of spender or saver you are.

Mint.com, Rudder.com, and JustThrive.com are all designed to organize your finances by tracking and budgeting your monthly spending.

See where you’re spending: “With your credit and debit cards connected to Mint[.com], we’ll automatically download and categorize your transactions for you every night. Check out your spending trends to see where you can improve.”

Keep on top of your bills: One of Rudder.com’s many features helps you track and pay your bills on time by sending bill reminders to your inbox.

Prepare yourself before big purchases: “Thrive has a free credit score estimator that will help you figure out your credit score. Then we’ll give you advice to help you raise it so you get the best deal on your car or home.”

Readers: What have been your experiences (if any) with these types of services? Have they worked well for you?

Thanks for the mention, HSH. Clark has talked about us several times and we’re glad to be letting people know how we can help them to improve their financial lives, particularly young people who may not have recieved the financial education that they were due. Financial literacy in this country is a very real, very present issue and Thrive is dedicated to addressing it every way we can.

    Matt,
No problem, we’re happy to do it. Clark is a friend of ours and he always has great consumer tips on his site that we want to share with our readers. Any service (like justthrive) that can help our readers improve their finances is worth a mention on our blog.

Thanks for your comment, hopefully we can mention you guys again soon. We’d love to hear your input on some of our other posts — hope to hear from you again soon. Keep us updated with JustThrive.

    Thanks,
    Tim
