What’s Free in 2009?

by

There’s a lot of free stuff out there. Erin Burt of Kiplinger.com — one of our favorite personal-finance websites — has compiled quite the list of free items being offered this year. As is the way with any list of freebies, some items are more worthwhile than others; some are hidden gems, while others are rather obvious.

Free video games? Got ‘em. Free software? Free online backup storage? Read all about it. We like the free recycling for old tech stuff, too. Hungry? Kids eat free at some joints.

Click here to view all of Kiplinger’s ‘fabulous freebies of 2009.’

Bonus: Be sure to view their slide show of 10 more “fabulous freebies.”
